I don't just rent this van. I live in it.

I'm Caleb. For almost two years I've been camping all over Baja California Sur: the Pacific beaches past Todos Santos, the hot springs and waterfalls up in the Sierra, the reefs of the East Cape. Along the way I pinned close to a hundred places I'd send a friend to.

Vanterella, a 1995 GMC Rally, is how I got there. I rebuilt her by hand: an insulated ceiling, magnetic shades that hold up in the heat, and solar power that keeps the wifi on at the beach.

Where do I pick up the van?

In Cabo San Lucas. Once your trip is confirmed I'll send you the exact spot and time.

How do I pay?

In US dollars or Mexican pesos. After I confirm your dates, 40% holds your trip and the rest is due 14 days before pickup. A refundable $500 USD security deposit is held at pickup. Full details in the rental terms.

How far can I drive?

200 km a day are included, which easily covers Cabo to La Paz and back. Extra km are $0.50 USD each. Vanterella stays in Baja California Sur, on paved or approved roads, and off the sand.

What should I bring?

Your clothes, food, and a sense of adventure. The van comes ready to camp, and I'll send you a packing list before your trip.
